Overjoyed! These are so pretty and comfortable, I can't wait for the weather to be warm enough to wear them out.I based the size I ordered on a pair of Dansko clogs I already own and it was perfect. I did answer the sizing questions and they recommended ordering a size up from that but I decided to stick with my gut and order according to experience with the brand. So glad I did, the size up would have been way to big and my size 41 is perfect.I would say that if you have a particularly slender/narrow build/foot you might be more challenged with the fit of this shoe. The circumference of my ankle where the strap goes is 13" and I wear the ankle strap on the second (out of four) notch. The circumference of my foot around where the toe strap hits is 9" and I wear that strap on the middle (of three) notch. Over time if they wear and stretch I'll have options to tighten slightly.Construction is so solid & materials are beautiful. The leather upper is buttery and feels great out of the box. I've been wearing them around the house for the last 3 hours since they were delivered and are still so comfy; no rubbing, fatigue, etc. The sole is molded nicely to the foot but offers great cushioning. I love the upper detail along the outer side of the sandal where my somewhat wide feet tend to "spill over" the edge of other shoes. These will be great to dress up or casual, the shimmer of the leather gives it some extra range there. I wish I could afford to order more in different colors right now!I love these shoes and have gotten lots of compliments. They are very comfortable and stylish. Love that you can dress them up or down and wear them with loads of colors. They lost a star for two reasons. I have several dansco sandles. The toe on this is rounded in a way that makes them more narrow than my others. My foot is medium and i wear a 10.5/41. In these particular shoes, my foot slides forward and i have to adjust to keep my toes from hanging over the edge, especially when its very hot. The toe strap then digs in on both sides and i end up with a line on my foot. If you bave bunions i can imagine it would be uncomfortable as that is the area that tales the most pressure. My ankels swell a bit theoigh the day and when I travel and these do leave a mark on my ankle after a full day of walking.That said, they do seem to have loosened over time but after a full day of walking i still have a line across the top of my foot. They may require some breaking in which is not my experience with other Dancos. I like that they are adjustable at the ankle and toe for foot swelling in travel.The hard, non-flexible sole requires a significant curve in the front of the shoe to assist w/ an easier, more relaxed gait and the foot not slapping the ground. This curvature puts more pressure on the ball of the foot, especially with the heel being higher than the toes. If you have bunions this is not an ideal set up as that pressure downward on the ball of the foot can make bunions worse. The plus side of these shoes, if you have bunions, is the adjustable strap across the toes. The strap sits about the level of the hallux and doesn't much press against the big toe at all. Hooray! These shoes do have decent arch support but do need more padding under the ball of the foot. My feet get fatigued and pretty sore from these shoes after a couple of hours of leisurely walking. If wearing them at the office, my feet ache (but aren't massively painful) after a full day (I mostly sit during the day but get up and walk around at least 3 times per hour).The brown/black snake print is pretty, in person, and has small, white stitching (don't know why they didn't use brown to stitch them). The color is really pretty neutral and I've worn them with jeans, capris and skirts and they look good w/ all of them. I also really liked the cobalt color but bought a different style of danskos in cobalt.Comfy out of the box! I am picky about shoes, wear custom orthotics, had major foot surgery 20 years ago and have never bought a cheap shoe since.My normal size 8.5W-9. Euro size 39 is PERFECT.Bought these to replace a pair of Born sandals, similar style but the top strap on the Born is not adjustable, so after one season the leather has stretched out and is sloppy, hence going in the goodwill pile. Also with the Born the ankle strap won't lay flat anymore. Again, just worn out, but I hope to get more than one season out of the Dansko's.This shoe is beautifully designed. I will wear these with dress pants, dockers, capris and dresses for work or play. The "dot" pattern is a nice touch, different than my other black shoes and gives the shoe a special pop without being unprofessional. You could really dress these up for people like me who can't wear heels as well.The quality is high, even with tightening the ankle strap the part that sticks out lays nicely. Soft and supportive.I love these sandals and I have owned the leather version of the same sandal in the past. I bought these cause the light leather insole showed wear on the black leather version and I wanted a dark insole. I wore these about five times and the strap broke at the seam. I am disappointed in the Dansko brand...I've owned over a dozen pair of danskos and I expect more from them. The black insole bleeds if your feet sweat...stick to the leather versions, I think.UPDATE: I called the company and spoke with their customer service rep and they replaced the broken sandals. So these awesome sandals lose one star cause I had to ask for a replacement. But, YAY DANSKO, for standing behind your product.I like these shoes. They are comfortable and pretty. The blue looks like the picture on my computer. Some people say it doesn't but the color will often be different depending on your screen. The shoes are a bit short. I measure as exactly 8.5 and they just fit. But, a hairsbreadth more and my toes would flop over the edge. These are not 8.5-9, they are 8-8.5 in size. Amazon should should American size forthese one half size downward because it is misleading to say they will fit a size 9. I like the fact that these have real buckles, not velcro like in some other Dansko wedge sandals.
